Commander-in-Chief Charles F. Sherman Charles F Sherman was born September 4, 1872 in Redding, Connecticut. He was the son of George Sherman of the 11th and, later, the 13th Connecticut Infantry. He was intially a member of the William H. Mallory Camp #11 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He later moved to New York and was a member of the Charles J. Nordquist Ccamp #64 of Mount Vernon, New York. He was New York Department Commander in 1908-09 and Commander-in-Chief 1914-15. At the time of his death about 1969/1970, he lived at 51 Woodridge Circle, Trumbull, Connecticut.
