Brothers, it is with deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that I report the death of Opal A. Nelson, Past President of Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic.  Sister Nelson served the LGAR twice as President, 2000-01 and 2005-06.

Sister Nelson was a member of Lookout Circle 24 in Minnesota.  She passed away 20 December, 2010 at the age of 81 years.  Sister Nelson’s passion for the LGAR and the Boys in Blue will be missed.
