1. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bessie L. Smith, Past National President of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 (DUVCW).
2. Council of Administration member Robert M. Petrovic, PDC, shall represent the Commander-in-Chief and the National Organization, SUVCW at PNP Smith's memorial service in St. Louis, Missouri on September 25th.
3. In lieu of flowers, contributions will be made in memory of PNP Smith to the Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis, MO, and to the DUVCW Headquarters in Springfield, IL.
4. Our sincere condolences are extended to PNP Smith's family.
