From the passage of the Kansas-Nebraska Act in 1854, through the
years of “Bleeding Kansas” and its border wars from 1855 to 1861, through the
Civil War, and in the post-war Western expansion when Kansas would become known
as the “Soldier State,” Kansas has been synonymous with the Civil War.
Kansas was the home of one Grand Army of the Republic
Commander-in-Chief and two Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War
Commanders-in-Chief.

“BLEEDING
A special
“Bleeding Kansas” Commemorative Medal has been prepared to commemorate the 2010
Encampment. Before
There
will only be 300 medals struck, so order early.
Medal numbers will be assigned in the order of receipt of the order form
with payment in full. Medals may be
picked up at the National Encampment.
Any commemorative medals which are not picked up in person will be
mailed immediately after the encampment ends.
COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED
UNTIL ALL MEDALS HAVE BEEN SOLD.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND FORMS
The
pre-registration fee is $7.00 before July 22, 2010. Use the Pre-Registration
Form to register. After July
22, 2010, the registration cost is $10.00.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Thursday, August 12, 2010 – Noon to 5 PM –
Tour of World War I Museum. This
is the only official memorial to the “Great War” that we know as World War
I. We will run one bus if we receive
between 40 and 55 reservations. We will
add a second bus if we receive at least 80 reservations. Reservations will be cut off at 100. Use the Tour Reservation Form to hold your
spot.
