Office of National Treasurer
Brother Richard Orr, PCinC
This is to announce that I am seeking re-election as National Treasurer at the 2013 National Encampment. My previous service to the National Organization includes: National Treasurer 1987 - 1995, JVicCinC 1995-1996, SrViceCinC 1996 - 1997, CinC 1997 - 1998, National Treasurer 2009 to present. Additionally, I have chaired a number of committees and serve on several other committees.
We are facing a number of financial issues including the conversion from a 501(c)(4) to a 501(c)(3) organization. This will necessitate the registration with those states requiring charitable organizations to register and report their activities (39 states and the District of Columbia). Additonally, we are in need of the development of a investment strategy which the COA has empowered the National Treasurer to develop and secure. This will go hand-in-hand with the implementation of a long term funding plan being developed by a special committee assigned that task. All of these issues require an intimate knowledge of our financial position and the various funds employed by the Order.
These will be interesting project and have a long term impact on the Order. I would greatly appreciate your support and the opportunity to bring these endeavors to reality.
In Fraternity, Charity and Loyalty,
Richard D Orr, PCinC
